Igneous rock. Ingenious engineering.

Basalt is a mineral formed through volcanic activity as magma cools on the earth’s crust. Simply put, it’s strong as heck and made by exploding volcanoes. It also has the unique ability to be drawn into thin fibers, comparable in strength to carbon fiber with only a fraction of the C02 emissions. Pair that with some of our own engineering ingenuity, and viola, LavaFLX is born.
