We recently hit a huge milestone: five years in business! Our team, along with our amazing family, friends, and supporters, got together to celebrate. It's been an incredible journey of innovation, building a great community, and growing in the pickleball world.
The party was a blast – lots of laughs, fun games, and sharing memories. It was great to honor everyone who's been with us since we started back in 2019. We took a moment to look back at how far we've come, from making our first sustainable paddles to creating a thriving community of players, and becoming a brand that's about both performance and purpose.
During the celebration, we asked Co-Founder Hugh Davis to share his thoughts on Revolin's journey and future.
Reflecting on Revolin’s journey, what achievements from the past five years fill you with the greatest pride?
"What I'm most proud of is the positive impact we've made on our community and planet," Hugh shared. "We've helped tens of thousands of people play more pickleball, stay healthy, and reduce their carbon footprint. We've also planted over 4,000 trees, diverted 500+ paddles from landfills through recycling, refurbishment, and donations to schools and charities."
The celebration highlighted not just the community impact, but also the technological innovations that set Revolin apart. Hugh gets pretty excited when he talks about Revolin's technology! He shared, "The material technology we've created—BioFLX and LavaFLX—is pretty dang cool. We now have 2 patents pending and over 100 claims for these materials that help us create better play and a better planet."
None of this would have been possible without the amazing support of our extended family: our customers, partners, and friends who totally believe in what Revolin is doing. Your encouragement keeps us going, always pushing to be better and redefine what pickleball gear can be.
But perhaps what Hugh values most is the people who've joined this journey. "The team we've built is a ton of fun, very supportive, and helping make a difference," he noted. "We have amazing ambassadors across the country, core team members in Michigan, Texas, and Colorado, plus incredible advisors, investors, and mentors. I'm proud that our team has been able to attract and retain such talented, wonderful, aligned people."
What aspects of Revolin’s next five years, and the future of pickleball itself, excite you most?
Hugh shared, "New paddle technology that pushes new levels of performance and sustainability. We're working on new cores, new surface materials, new shapes and designs—all with the goal of maximizing performance and value while minimizing environmental impact."
As we celebrate this big moment, we’re already looking ahead. The next five years promise tons of new innovations, exciting partnerships, and even more chances to help grow the sport we’re so passionate about. We’re super excited for you to keep this journey with us.
